How ClinicalMatch works
Clinical trials are how new cancer treatments become available — often years before general approval. But finding the right trial means decoding thousands of listings written for researchers, not patients. ClinicalMatch translates that world for you.
Where our data comes from
Every trial shown on ClinicalMatch comes from ClinicalTrials.gov, the U.S. government registry of clinical studies maintained by the National Library of Medicine. We pull updates directly from its official data service, focus on cancer studies that are currently recruiting, and present them in plain language.
What "matching" means
Every trial has inclusion criteria (what must be true about you) and exclusion criteria (what must not be). These are written as dense medical text. Our system restructures them into checkable facts — cancer type, stage, biomarkers, prior treatments — so a search can compare them against what you tell us. Today you can search by condition, keywords, and location. Full profile-based matching is coming with patient accounts.
What we are not
We are not a hospital, a trial sponsor, or a medical advisor. We never decide whether you qualify — only the trial's own medical team can do that. Think of us as a well-informed navigator: we shorten the path between you and the right conversation with your doctor.
